PhantomMic
Voice Lab · Text to Clip · in Pro

Character voices that laugh, sigh and whisper.

Type a line, pick one of seventeen lifelike characters, and it's a clip on your soundboard, ready to play into voice chat. Made on your own PC, with nothing sent to the cloud. They took an unreasonable amount of time to build, for probably no real benefit at all. They are, admittedly, quite cool.

Every sample here was made by PhantomMic on an ordinary PC, straight from the line shown.

How it works

From a line of text to a clip on your board

Text to Clip is the bottom half of Voice Lab, under the live voice changer.

  • Type what you want said, up to 2,000 characters
  • Pick a character, then set its speed and pitch
  • Add a tag like [laugh] or [whispering], or press Auto tags and it adds them for you
  • Add any Voice Lab effect on top, if you like
  • Save it: it's a clip with a hotkey, on the wheel or a button deck
Voice Lab: the voice changer on top, and Text to Clip underneath with the Mags voice and a line using the [laugh] tag

Sounds

On your PC, not in the cloud

The voice model (about 1.1 GB) downloads once, from Voice Lab. After that every line is made on your own computer, offline, and what you type never leaves it.

Voices with a clear origin

Each character is PhantomMic's own, designed from a written description, not copied from anyone's real voice, yours included.

What it needs

Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit) and about 1 GB of free memory while it speaks. A line takes a few seconds on a typical processor; no graphics card needed.

Use it kindly

Don't use character voices to pretend to be a real person or to deceive anyone. See the terms.

Make the lobby hear it.

Download the free soundboard and play your first clip in about a minute. Try Pro when you want the rest. The universe will carry on regardless.
