Yes, with anything that lets you choose a microphone. PhantomMic mixes your voice and your sounds into a virtual microphone (the free VB-CABLE driver, which the installer offers to set up) and can make it your Windows microphone for you, so most apps pick it up on their own.

Yes. The first time you open PhantomMic, a short guided tour shows you around: the Soundboard, sending to voice chat, the quick switches and Help. Take it again any time from Help, or watch the short films on the home page.

First, select CABLE Output (VB-Audio Virtual Cable) as the microphone or input device in Discord, Teams or your game. Keep its speaker output on your headphones. Some voice chat apps also filter out anything that doesn't sound like speech. If clips are still being blocked, turn off noise suppression (sometimes called noise cancellation), echo cancellation and automatic voice activity sensitivity in that app's voice settings. PhantomMic's own noise filter then cleans up your voice instead, and Help tells you when Discord's noise suppression is on.

It removes background noise, like fans, keyboards and dogs, from your microphone before it reaches voice chat, and leaves your clips and music alone. That way you can turn off your voice app's own noise suppression, which would otherwise filter out your clips. It's free and on by default.

Yes. Auto-fit, on by default, fits each voice to yours: a deep voice isn't taken down into a buzz, a high one isn't taken up into a squeal, every voice stays at your normal volume, and shouting can't clip. It learns your pitch as you talk.

Seventeen lifelike characters in Voice Lab's Text to Clip, under the voice changer, from a dry ship android to a salty pirate captain: type a line, pick a character and it becomes a clip. Tags like [laugh], [sigh] and [whispering] add a bit of life.

No. They run entirely on your computer. The voice model (about 1.1 GB) downloads once, and the lines you type and the clips you make never leave your PC.

No. PhantomMic doesn't copy voices. The seventeen characters are PhantomMic's own, designed from written descriptions rather than anyone's real voice, and the terms forbid using them to pretend to be a real person.
