Windows may warn you. PhantomMic is in early access and its installer isn't code-signed yet, so Windows can show "Windows protected your PC" the first time. Click More info, then Run anyway. The SHA-256 above lets you check the file is the one we published.

Three steps, and a short tour

The first time you open PhantomMic, a guided tour walks you through all of this. You can take it again from Help.

Install

Run the installer. It offers to set up the free VB-CABLE virtual audio driver, which carries your sounds to voice chat.

Pick your microphone

Press the plug to send to voice chat, then choose CABLE Output as the microphone in your voice app. PhantomMic can also make it your Windows microphone, so most apps pick it up on their own.

Press a clip

Start with the fourteen starter sounds. Press one and everyone in your voice chat hears it.

Clips not coming through? Select CABLE Output (VB-Audio Virtual Cable) as the microphone or input device in Discord, Teams or your game. Keep its speaker output on your headphones. If clips are still being blocked, turn off noise suppression, echo cancellation and automatic sensitivity in that app's voice settings: PhantomMic's own noise filter cleans up your voice instead, and Help tells you when Discord's filter is on.
