PhantomMic

Credits

Nobody builds a soundboard alone. Here is everyone, and everything, this one was built with.

The software

PhantomMic is built with open-source software, including Avalonia, SkiaSharp, HarfBuzz, NAudio, NVorbis, Concentus, NLayer, Velopack, the Inter typeface, Xiph's RNNoise noise filter and Microsoft's .NET. Each is used under its own license, and every license ships with the app (Settings › View notices). You can also read them here: third-party notices.

VB-CABLE, the virtual audio cable PhantomMic sends sound through, is made by VB-Audio Software and downloaded from them when you first turn routing on. VB-CABLE is a donationware, all participations are welcome: www.vb-cable.com.

The artwork

The soundwave art behind this site and the films' openings is drawn by PhantomMic's own code.

The voices

The narrator of the feature films is the Kokoro text-to-speech model's "Lewis" voice (Apache License 2.0). The character voices in the films and in the app are PhantomMic's own, spoken by Chatterbox-Turbo from Resemble AI (MIT License) and designed from written descriptions, not copied from anyone's real voice.
